    66 mustang coupe build

well, my last 66 coupe was a rust bucket due to the vinyl top, so I parted that sucker off, traded the shell for something else, and kept everything mechanical.

I then searched high and low for a real virgin body...and I finally found this 66 coupe barely a roller at a steal of a price $1800....it's been sitting for at least 20-30 years

gotta love the rare bench seat option

first thing I did was to prep and paint the engine bay and drop in the engine. specs are as follows:

    -Ford racing crate motor
    -gt40y aluminum heads unported
    -b303 cam
    -weiand stealth/holley 670 carb
    -electronic duraspark ignition
-hedman longtube headers modified by Jammer for clutch cable clearance
-full dual 2.5" exhaust into flowmasters
-t5 5 speed trans with pro 5.0 short shifter

intially I was to go efi. I have since temporarily scrapped that idea....but It'll be revisted in the future perhaps

-66 mustang plasti-dipped matte black. gt40 alum heads/bcam, t5 5 speed, 373 explorer 8.8,31 spline disc brakes, 2005 mustang front brakes, alum ds, rollerized suspension, bench seat
-05 hemi ram 4x4, sc tuner, flowmaster exhaust
-72 maverick, frpp crate motor, lentech aod

the next major thing I had to address is the crappy 2.80 peg legged 8" rear.

Out it went, and off to the junkyard I went. I scored a complete 8.8 rear end from a 96 explorer...it came complete with 3.73 gears, 31 spline, disc brakes and traction lot. Once again, major props to Jammer for welding in my spring perches

my front brake setup will consist of 2005 mustang disc brakes with the mustang steve brackets...

then I realized my gas system was rusted to hell...so here went more $$$

I opted for the larger diameter fuel line, and in it went
